Now in its third year, the Women in Business Conference celebrates the best of networking, collaboration, learning opportunities, and business development.
If you’re on the fence about attending then have a quick read of the event review from last year’s conference HERE.
2019 is going to be bigger and better with inspirational female speakers, a wide range of workshops to suit your business needs, and plenty of time to network over lunch. We are also introducing an Author Panel to the event in honour of our keynote speaker, Sunday Times Best Selling Author Sue Moorcroft. Sue will be joined on stage by a selection of locally and nationally acclaimed female authors to be interviewed by BBC Journalist, TV and Radio Presenter Joanna Tidman. Following the author panel, there will be an opportunity to meet the authors, purchase their books and get them signed.
The day will begin with an introduction from MC Joanna Tidman and a quick overview of what to expect throughout the day. There will be plenty of refreshments available and chances to network alongside the learning opportunities.
Our incredible guest speakers include Emma Woodward and Sam Yair from Lucy & Jane Limited. The ladies will share their story about the difficult decision to close their Aspire Style stores in 2018 and how they’ve bounced back. Closing one business and then starting another takes drive and determination and we can’t wait to hear how Emma and Sam found the focus and strength to launch their new venture.
Following on from Emma and Sam we have the incredibly talented and inspirational Marie Rowe who was a writing assistant to Barry Levinson (HBO TV). She has also worked on well-known films such as Rain Man and Good Morning Vietnam. Marie is an actress, inspirational speaker, personal historian, and a writing tutor and we’re sure you’ll be enthralled by her story.
Our third speaker this year is Sunday Times Best Selling Author of Contemporary Women’s Fiction, Sue Moorcroft. Sue has been a vice chair of the RNA (Romantic Novelist Association) and editor on two RNA anthologies. She writes short stories, serials, articles, and runs creative writing events in the UK and abroad. She won the Best Romantic Read Award and Katie Fforde Bursary. We are delighted that Sue could join us at our conference.
Once the morning speakers and author panel are complete, we’ll enjoy a fabulous networking lunch sponsored by Beth Taylor Aesthetics giving you plenty of time to meet new people, connect with old acquaintances, and process what our speakers have shared.
The afternoon is split into workshop sessions with a choice of four incredible seminars including Presenting with Confidence, Social Media Stories, Take Control of Your Diary, and The Stories We Tell Ourselves. Choose two workshops to attend within your ticket price and delve into your business development under the expert guidance of our session hosts.
At the end of the day, we return to the main conference room for closing thoughts with MC Joanna Tidman followed by networking and drinks.
